Despite the Raptors/Pistons game starting in the middle of the day, the moon was shining brightly. Jamario Moon that is. In case you’re late to the Moon party, the undrafted 27-year-old rookie has started the Raptors last eight games at small forward and his athletic play is getting him noticed. Yesterday, the 6-8 forward erupted for the best line of his brief NBA career with 15 points, 9 boards, 3 steals and 6 blocks in the matinee victory. For those of you that were waiting for the return of Dwyane Wade, to a lesser degree, Ron Artest, and to an even lesser degree, Stephen Jackson, your patience will be rewarded this coming week with a full set of games for the week. But before we get down with what individual players have been doing and could possibly continue to do, it’s time to peep the number of games each NBA team has going on in Week Four of the fantasy basketball season.

Stat’s All Folks will be a week-to-week stock market look at the standard cumulative categories – points, assists, rebounds, three-pointers made, steals, and blocks. I’ll be calling out the “bulls” and “bears” in each category, in order to help you assess your portfolio of players on your fantasy basketball team(s) and whether you should sell, hold, and/or diversify your assets.
Note that you won’t always see the superstar player written about in this column, otherwise it would be LeBron James or Steve Nash every week. So, check out who’s bullish and who’s bearish coming into the week.

Eddy Curry, C, New York Knicks
Last Week’s Numbers of Note: 4 G; 25.3 PPG; 60.3 FG%; 60.8 FT%
I’ll admit and say that I was a non-believer. And to some degree I still am – I’ll chalk that up to me being a disgruntled Knicks fan. But, I simply could not believe that Eddy Curry scoring as much as he was the week before was the real deal. If Howie Mandel was in front of me, I would have emphatically said, “NO DEAL!” But, you can’t argue with seven games in a row of 20+ points because instead of Curry’s physique blowing up, his post game is. Buy into it because head coach Isiah Thomas has, recently saying that Curry was the key to the team and that’s music to every Curry owner’s ears. Hopefully it doesn’t turn out to sound like an American Idol tryout.

Andres Nocioni is the “Argentinean Pitbull.” He is relentless on defense and fearless in crashing the boards. Case in point in the picture, Nocioni is giving a lesson to the New York Knicks on how to grab a rebound. In fact, I will wager my NYC counterpart that Nocioni will out rebound both Eddy Curry and Channing Frye this year!
