Wire to Wire aims to be your waiver wire resource for all of your fantasy basketball needs. It will dive into playing time trends, injury replacements, and even an occasional category specialist—all of which can be found on a typical waiver wire within your fantasy league at any given time.
Another injury in Washington seems to have opened up some playing time for a few guys who were struggling to get touches as early as a few weeks ago. If small-ball isn’t your thing, then take a gander at some of the “bigs” that we have going this week. One of them fell threw the cracks last week, so here’s hoping that he fell through your leagues’ as well.

Some people have all the luck. You probably know someone that seems to be in the right place at the right time. You hear stories about people on flights getting bumped to business class from economy class because the airline overbooked economy. Then there are people that walk into department stores and find an awesome sale on something you have been looking for for months. LaMarcus Aldridge is one of these lucky people. How else can you explain Zach Randolph getting traded in the offseason to the Knicks and treasured draft pick Greg Oden missing this season with micro-fracture knee surgery. Opportunity has the door wide open for LaMarcus Aldridge to have a monster season.

Injury Lowdown: No Rookie of the Year Honors for Greg Oden

Portland Trail Blazers center Greg Oden will miss his first NBA campaign with season-ending knee surgery. What was originally supposed to be an exploratory procedure on his right knee turned into microfracture surgery. A full recovery is expected for Oden, however, but will likely take six to twelve months.

Wire to Wire aims to be your waiver wire resource for all of your fantasy basketball needs. It will dive into playing time trends, injury replacements, and even an occasional category specialist—all of which can be found on a typical waiver wire within your fantasy league at any given time.
Due to scheduling, the NBA didn’t exactly give us a large sample size to choose from over the last few games. Thankfully (depending on how you look at it), players in the Association do not need a lot of time to injure themselves, providing opportunities for the average fantasy basketball fan. While a few of these names may ring a bell, we’ve had a few new additions this week. The first men you should thank? Start with Marcus Camby and Baron Davis, as their annual injuries pave the way for the future stars of the NBA. On to this week’s recommendations.
