On Gear Live: 10 gadget sightings in Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance music video

First Look: Wednesday, March 5

Description
On Tuesday, the Pistons kept their hot streak going, as Chauncey Billups returned to The Palace, dropped 34, and still lost.  Don’t look now…

Tuesday’s best:  Not a whole lot of overly-impressive lines Tuesday night, but Troy Murphy takes home today’s award.  His line: 23 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 threes, 2 steals, 2 blocks as he led the Pacers to a win over the Kings.

Tuesday’s worst:  John Salmons.  Dude, Luol Deng is hurt.  You’re supposed to go back to being that fantasy stud you used to be.  This scrub played 33 minutes in the Bulls’ loss to Charlotte and scored 9 points on 4-13 shooting.  SCRUB!!

Keep an eye on:  The East playoff race.  The 15th team (Toronto) is only 5.5 games back, and two teams (Indiana and Charlotte) look awfully good right now and keep climbing the standings.  It’s gonna be a fun month.

What to watch for Wednesday: Cleveland hosts Milwaukee (remember what LeBron James did to the Deer the last time they played), Dwyane Wade lights up Phoenix (like every other team, just bigger), San Antonio plays Dallas on ESPN (and probably runs them out of the arena), and last but NOT least… the Grizzlies play the Clippers!

Jason Maxiell - Fantasy BasketballHey all.  Sorry for no Daily Drop today.  By now you all should know that Amare Stoudemire had an amazing night, Kevin Martin will miss four-to-six weeks, and LeBron James’ finger may be worse than we had originally assumed.  With that said…here’s this week’s edition of Wire to Wire.  More Daily drops as the week rolls on!

Wire to Wire aims to be your waiver wire resource for all of your fantasy basketball needs. It will dive into playing time trends, injury replacements, and even an occasional category specialist—all of which can be found on a typical waiver wire within your fantasy league at any given time.

Dropping Dimes on the Daily—November 19, 2007

Stack Jack sheriff

In the middle of last season, a new sheriff came to town and a new way of life was established in the East Bay. One of his past transgressions caught up to him and for that he had to endure his punishment. After seemingly a lifetime of exile (actual time missed: 7 games), the enigmatic Warrior returned to battle with designs for glory. With Golden State’s season spiraling out of control already, this savior’s return couldn’t have come at a more perfect time.

The Fig Cap: I’m only going to tell you this once

Man, it feels good to be back.  After the last few months of mock drafts, expert league results and preseason play, we finally get to put all of our hard work to use.  Dennis has already given you all the primer for the beginning of the season, but what he didn’t dive into too much (thankfully, for job security purposes) were some of the talent that can still be found on waiver wires of all league sizes and formats.  That, ladies and gentlemen, is where I come in.  From this week on, Wire to Wire will give you the low down on the up-and-comers that can help out your fantasy squad.  But enough of the introduction, let’s get into the goods for the premier week of the 2007-08 season.  Enjoy.

John Salmons deserves a roster spot in all leaguesWire to Wire aims to be your waiver wire resource for all of your fantasy basketball needs. A lot of common names are mentioned this week. Some have received elevated playing time due to injuries, while one specific baller will get more time simply because he’s on the same team as Ron Artest. Add John Salmons to the list of players who got a late- season boost thanks to playing with Artest at any point in their careers. We may be adding this to future theories for drafting purposes. Until then, we’ll just focus on players that you can add this week to get you to the playoffs.
