Dropping Dimes Two-on-Two Tourney: Round 1, Games 9 and 10

AI vs. DeronTo the three voters for the All-NBA team that did not name Chris Paul to the first team; you need to seriously have your head examined. Two voters picked Steve Nash instead and one vote went to Tracy McGrady. Come on, people! To pick Nash ahead of Paul means you have not watched ball since last season. The Hornets had a better record, Paul did more with less established talent around him, not to mention he had superior overall stats. As for McGrady, I guess it was a nod to the Rockets’ winning streak.

Nash was in action last week. Does he get to move on? Paul suits up this week, so check out who we have him partnered with? And the picture gives you a preview of who else is part of our hype match-ups this week!

Dropping Dimes on the Daily – December 4, 2007

Jared Dudley

Cause I totally blew it with not getting up a Daily yesterday, I’m going extra big with tonight’s version. Please accept this humble offering with my sincere apologies and a pledge to do better next time. I suddenly feel like Tony Kornheiser. Um, yeah.

The Fig Cap: I don’t have to wear warm-ups at the tip anymore!

Tribute to Ron Chow and our Experts League Recap

Amare
Our second annual Dropping Dimes Experts League had its draft last night. Ron Chow and I are co-managing a team this year. What follows is a log of the draft from our perspective but something more important comes first.

Ron is taking a leave of absence from Dropping Dimes. One of the original four writers here, Ron will be missed. He was a regular contributor to our mock blog and during the season helped out with our rankings and wrote a feature called “Injury Impact.” He says it’s a break, but it feels like when a girl tells you that and it’s actually a break-up. So cheers to you, bro, and good luck with everything.
