Ron Chow and I won our first-round match-up in the Dropping Dimes League. With the victory, we take the early lead in the standings.
The Allen Iverson trade to Detroit seems to be official now. Big news, to say the least.
Add/Drops tend to be plentiful in the first couple of weeks in the season. Here are some moves that I have seen using one 10-team, one 12-team and one 14-team league. The 14-team league is our experts league.

We’re almost at the finish line and it’s time to start readying the troops for the final countdown.
How’s that for some drama? It’s time for any last minute trades, so assess your rosters, make that deal and keep your eyes peeled to the waiver wire. This is where championships are won, especially in H2H, where a good chunk of the best players in the league will sit out the fantasy finals. The good news is that both conferences are set up for some tight races with a lot of jostling around with seeding, so hopefully this year more than ever we see very few guys sitting out their last few team games. PF Elton Brand will not be patrolling the post for the Los Angeles Clippers till sometime 2008. Brand ruptured his left Achilles tendon on Friday during his daily workout. Brand is expected to undergo surgery in the next week.
The normal recovery time for an injury of this severity is usually a year which could force Brand to miss the entire 2007-2008 season. The Clippers have received preliminary medical reports that Brand will be sidelined for only 6 months which may mean he could return to action in February.

Wire to Wire aims to be your waiver wire resource for all of your fantasy basketball needs. It will dive into playing time trends, injury replacements, and even an occasional category specialist – all of which can be found on a typical waiver wire within your fantasy league at any given time.
All-Star week is coming up, and that means one or two game weeks for all of the Association. Looking a bit forward, the Hawks, Bulls, Knicks and Kings all have schedules that max out their games played for a three-week stretch; two games next week, and back-to-back weeks of four games following. While shallow leagues do not have a lot of recommendations from me this week, owners would be wise to add any fringe players of those four teams if they’d like a bit of an advantage in the short-run.
This week will be hit or miss with a lot of players, as they simply do not have the full week to give you production. Here’s to a productive All-Star week for all involved.
On to this week’s recommendations…
